We Made It. Somehow
2025đź 2026âŠGod Abeg, Weâre Ready.
If youâre reading this, you made it to the New Year. Happy New Yearâand genuinely, itâs good to see you here.
In my last post, I talked about how I figured out how I wanted to move through life in 2025. At the time, it felt like the greatest decision Iâd ever made, and Iâm still grateful for it. But letâs be very clear: 2025 did not come gently. It came with struggles, hella struggles, actually. I wonât even lie. But thank God itâs done and dusted. We made it out scarred but alive, and sometimes thatâs the real win.
I read a piece this morning where someone said, â2026 feels like something big is coming.âAnd whew, felt that in my chest. Thatâs honestly what I wanted this New Year post to be about. Not the usual âthis year will be differentâ talk, or âthis is my yearâ affirmations we recycle every January. This one genuinely feels⊠different.
It feels like something big is loading. Like getting to a boss level in a video game, the kind where you need extra XP, better armor, and a couple power-ups just to survive it. You already know it wonât be easy. Thereâs work to be done, lessons to learn, and stories to collect along the way. But you also know that at the end of it? The rewards are HEAVY.
Thatâs why this year hit me differently. I donât usually do New Yearâs resolutions. Iâve always been more of a âquietly identify what needs to change and move accordinglyâ type of person. But this time? I actually sat down, pulled out a pen and paper, wrote âMY NEW YEARâS RESOLUTIONSâ at the top, and started listing things out. Thatâs how I knewâyeah, something big is coming.
There are plans Iâve made with myself. Intentions Iâm taking seriously. Work Iâm committing to, even when it gets uncomfortable. And honestly? Iâm excited.
For my family too, thereâs a lot stacked for us this year. I can feel it. So many testimonies lined up that people at church might start getting tired of seeing our faces. One Sunday itâs âthank God,â the next Sunday itâs another âthank God.â Weâll just keep standing up.
Of course, you already know Iâll take you along for the ride. The wins, the lessons, the behind-the-scenes moments, itâll all be here. But for now, this is just me slowing down long enough to say this:
Happy New Year.
I hope this year meets you with clarity, growth, and blessings you didnât even know to ask for.
And whatever big thing is coming for you? I hope youâre ready to receive it.
Hereâs to 2026. đ„

Happy new year Izzyđ„ł
